Just Wasn’t My Day

Afternoon

Meditation

• 30 Minutes.

Laid down for a quick 30-minute meditation this afternoon and was interrupted midway through. Laid down again and got interrupted a second time. Took that as a sign.

“I should still draw a Field Notes emblem,” I thought. Grabbed my notebook, ruler, and pencil — started sketching the alchemical symbol for sulfur. Just wasn’t in it. Put it all away.

This is about as close to a Field Note as today gets.

Evening

Surprise thunder this evening. Made me think of one of my favorite, and recent, album covers. МОЛНИИ ИНДРЫ (Indra’s Lightning), a 2025 album by the Russian rock band Kino. I’ll finish it tomorrow for a double post day, maybe, the date is on there so “legally” we’re good. 👍🏻
