It’s been a casual kind of start to the week regarding my practice. Well, regarding the meditation part of the practice it’s been about the same level of dedication (daily); however, when it came to notes and tiny illustrations I decided to take a small break. My birthday was this Monday, May The 4th Be With You! So, I felt like just slowing down a bit and enjoying my evenings.
I’m not saying I don’t enjoy illustrating, I absolutely love it, but it does tend to drift me to later bedtimes. This was a good exercise in remembering what my optimal weekday bedtime is; now I work on making that standard even with daily notes and illustrations.
Nothing fancy with today’s meditation outside of an odd visit. I saw a shadow-form which was dog-headed, with a long snout, no further details. It entered my field of view and moved slowly out within a few moments. No idea what it was about, but today’s tiny illustration is doing more attribution to the form than there really was in the moment.
