I’m here. Show me what arrives.
Field Notes 20260521 - Thursday
There’s a feeling of change and adjustments on the horizon. Quite honestly I’ve already been in this mode for a couple weeks; perhaps it’s building toward something, or I’m simply methodically integrating it all. Either way, the direction of movement and the changing winds is a good sign. Stagnation is at bay.
Last week was much of the same but had a little snag in it that I’ve been circling back to here and there. A “query-casting” meditative trance session was abruptly interrupted, and I don’t recall if the query was actually cast. Meditating on that loosely this week proved that it was cast; in fact, it was technically operational and in the field before that session even started.
This week we kick off where that left off.

I entered the session as I always do; the prep and initiating progression went without issues or complaints. One thing I had dropped a while back from my process was “resonant tuning,” and I am folding it back in as a core piece to a successful session.
In the Gateway Tapes, Resonant Tuning is a foundational breathing and vocalization exercise designed to quiet the mind, release physical tension, and generate focused vibrational energy. It prepares your body and mind for deeper meditative states and astral projection before you begin the core audio exercises.
It’s very simple: take slow, deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth; on exhale, produce a sustained, continuous hum or “ahhh/ommm” sound. As you hum, you physically feel the vibration in your chest, throat, and head. The goal is to imagine this vibration building up, circulating through your body, and expanding outward as a resonant field of energy.
The main reason that I dropped it, and for a long time at that, is that a lot of the time I’m in places where humming to myself would disturb others around me. When I’d practice in my office, I too would forget to do resonant tuning once I moved on from the tapes and largely began to do my own sessions. I simply fell out of practice.
On a few occasions in the last two weeks I’ve begun to consciously bring the humming back into session prep. If you are familiar with resonant tuning and not quite sure if it does anything, or if you should even care: you should. Personally I find there is a difference in the quality of my awareness and focus as the session moves forward into deeper layers. It might not seem like a huge improvement, but even marginal benefits in this practice can yield big results downstream.
Ultimately, as the session progressed and after I expanded into F12 (expanded awareness), I cast the following query, “I’m here. Show me what arrives.” Since that was the only goal of this meditation, I made my exit in my usual manner and turned over for a much needed and quick cat nap.
We’ll see where the rest of the week takes us.
